Norfolk County Councillors have approved Route C for the new road which will link the A1067 to the A47, despite protests from Extinction Rebellion campiagners.

The road will cost £153 million and run for 3.9 miles, including a viaduct over the Wensum Valley.

The road still needs planning permission and funding and if approved work will start in 2022, with the road open in 2025
