A group of seven enthusiastic knitters from Thrapston in Northamptonshire have made a miniature version of their high street.

They originally created the woollen structures for the Thrapston Arts Festival at the beginning of the month. However interest has continued long after the end of the event.

The group made more than 15 of the most prominent buildings including the old town cinema and football pitch.

It took over a year to create with the oldest member of the group still knitting at 93-years-old.

They've all been overwhelmed by the positive response while they've been doing their bit to help create a more close knit community.
