Chatteris boxer Jordan Gill suffers first professional defeat
Chatteris boxer Jordan Gill suffered his first professional defeat after he was beaten by Mexico's Enrique Tinoco in Nottingham on Friday night.
Gill, 24, was knocked down by three body shots and his corner eventually retired him at the end of the eighth round.
After the fight, Gill complained that his build-up had been hindered by a bout of food poisoning.
Gill had won all of his 23 previous professional fights, but was no match for his more experienced opponent.
The defeat means he loses the WBA international belt he won in Peterborough in March.
