Storm Hannah warning extended to the Anglia region

The Met Office has extended the strong wind warning from Storm Hannah to the Anglia region for Friday night into Saturday.

The Met Office says: "A spell of strong winds is expected across southern and some central parts of the UK, bringing a risk of disruption."

The weather warning is in force from 9pm on Friday 26 April until 3pm on Saturday 27 April 2019

What to expect

  • Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely, with bus and train services affected

  • Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely

  • Some short term loss of power and other services is possible due to fallen trees and branches

  • It’s likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities could be affected by spray and/or large waves
