Debenhams have announced they'll close their store in Great Yarmouth as part of plans to rescue the ailing department store chain.

The Great Yarmouth site is one of 22 earmarked for closure, putting 1200 jobs at risk across the country.

If approved, the stores are expected to close around Christmas 2019.

The other sites earmarked for closure are:

iAltrincham, Ashford, Birmingham Fort, Canterbury, Chatham, Eastbourne, Folkestone Guildford, Kirkcaldy, Orpington, Slough, Southport, Southsea, Staines, Stockton, Walton, Wandsworth, Welwyn Garden City, Wimbledon, Witney, Wolverhampton.
