Keith Flint: Campaign launched to build statue of Prodigy singer in Braintree
A campaign to build a statue of The Prodigy singer Keith Flint in Essex has been launched.
Mr Flint, who was 49, was found dead at his home in North End near Dunmow last week.
An inquest opened on Monday and the provisional cause of his death was given as hanging.
More than 3,000 people have now signed a petition calling for there to be a memorial dedicated to him in Braintree.
The band was formed in the town, and Mr Flint also attended Braintree College.
The petition was set up by Saphya Gower who said Mr Flint "was important to not only the people of Braintree, but was well loved and respected worldwide."
It's hoped that the petition will eventually be passed on to Braintree District Council who will then decide how best to pay tribute to him.
