Donald Trump has made a whistle-stop visit to RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk.

The President was on board Air Force One which landed at the base to re-fuel on its way to a summit in Vietnam.

It touched down just before midnight and spent an hour on the ground before continuing on its journey to Asia.

A picture was posted on the realdonaltrump Instagram page with the message: "Got off AF1 for a refuel stop at RAF Mildenhall. Thankful for the amazing men and women in our military."
