Cross party protest calling for disgraced Peterborough MP to quit
A cross party protest is being organised in Peterborough calling for the city's disgraced MP Fiona Onasanya to resign.
The 35 year old was sentenced to three months in jail for perverting the course of justice after lying to avoid a speeding ticket.
Her brother Festus was also charged for his part in the incident and is serving ten months in prison.
So far the MP has refused to quit. The protest is due to take place outside her office on the corner of wheel yard and city road on Saturday 9th February.
Meanwhile her jail term could be extended following complaints that the judge was 'unduly lenient'.
The Attorney General's Office have confirmed that they are reviewing the case.
