Northampton church graveyard becomes camp for the homeless

The graveyard of All Saints’ Church has become home to many of Northampton’s rough sleepers.

This autumn, the number of people setting up tents and makeshift housing has more than doubled in comparison to last year.

Robin Burgess of Northampton Hope centre described the town as having an "acute housing crisis". He added: "There are literally hundreds or people who are homeless."

Northampton Borough Council says it is tackling the issue.
