Ipswich shopping centre reporting rise in the number of shoppers

Sailmakers in Ipswich says it's seen a 3% increase in shoppers over December compared to the same period last year.

The shopping centre also says that the number of people visiting in December is 40% up on an average month with almost half a million visitors so far.

With the Boxing Day sales now underway the centre says it is expecting to see the total footfall top 600,000 by the end of the month.
