'Teddy bear hospital' helps ease children's fears about medical spaces
Armed with soft toys, Norwich medical students are alleviating childhood anxieties surrounding medical environments.
Medics and physiotherapists from University of East Anglia (UEA) visit Norfolk schools and rainbow groups as Teddy Bear Hospital.
The students aim to relieve children's worries about seeing healthcare professionals. Teddy Bear Hospital runs 'clinics', which comprise teddy bear 'surgery', a healthy eating station and more.
Teddy Bear Hospital proved to be fruitful at Horsham St. Faith Primary School.
