Normal for Norfolk ? A celebration of all things weird, wonderful and whimsical !

The phrase Normal for Norfolk is quite often used in a derogatory way by those who're not from that part of the world.

But a new exhibition and book are celebrating some of the county's more colourful characters. Among them the Mad-Hatter of Weybourne. Then there's the Sheringham Mermaid. There's also the Vicar of Stifkey who got eaten by a lion. Natalie Gray has their stories and more.

The exhibition runs at the Red Spot Gallery in Holt until November 23.
