Man accused of causing £4m damage to five houses

A builder has been accused of using a digger to cause up to £4 million of damage to newly-built retirement homes in Buntingford, Hertfordshire.

Daniel Neagu appeared in Hatfield Magistrates Court via video link on August 13.

He was charged with criminal damage to five homes belonging to McCarthy and Stone valued at £800,000 each.

The houses on the estate had their external walls torn out leaving debris littering their gardens.
