Peterborough United striker Jack Marriott has completed his move to Championship side Derby County for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old has agreed a three-year deal at Pride Park and becomes Frank Lampard's fourth signing of the summer.

Marriott won the League One golden boot last season, and scored 33 goals in all competitions.

He joined Posh from Luton Town last summer, and his form for Peterborough attracted interest from several Championship clubs.

“I’m delighted that Jack has chosen to join Derby County and I believe this is another great addition to our squad," Frank Lampard said.

"Goalscorers are always sought-after and Jack certainly has been in demand. He scored an incredible amount of goals in League One last year and, at 23, we know he can still develop and get better too. He certainly strikes me as a player that is really determined to improve.

“To bring players through the door that are sought-after hopefully shows that people are excited about what we are trying to do here.”

Peterborough have also sold defender Jack Baldwin to Sunderland for an undisclosed fee, while in League Two, Northampton Town have brought in Reading goalkeeper Lewis Ward on a season-long loan.

Meanwhile, Stevenage have signed former Colchester United striker Kurtis Guthrie on a free transfer and French midfielder Donovan Makoma from Barrow for an undisclosed fee.
