Chelmsford takeaway boss fined £2,000 for selling undercooked chicken
The owner of a former Chelmsford takeaway has been fined more than £2,000 for serving undercooked chicken.
It's after a series of complaints about food poisoning and the sale of undercooked or dried-up food from 'Perfect Fried Chicken' in Moulsham Street.
Owner Raja Balal Hussain, 35, admitted three charges of selling undercooked chicken and four charges of failing to implement and maintain permanent procedures to deal with hazards.
He was fined £2,249.57 after being prosecuted by Chelmsford City Council.
In 2016, food improvement notices were served on Mr Hussain, but the following year saw more complaints.
The takeaway closed at the end of 2017.
