David Copperfield film crew help fight fire on Norfolk coast
Fire crews on the north Norfolk coast had some help from an unlikely source when a film crew turned up with their own water carrier.
Six crews were called to a large fire yesterday (July 18) in corn fields along Weybourne Road railway embankment, towards Sheringham.
But an additional water carrier arrived when a film crew working on Weybourne beach spotted the smoke.
The beach is being used to shoot scenes for new costume drama The Personal History of David Copperfield, whose stars include Dev Patel, Hugh Laurie and Peter Capaldi.
Smaller fires also broke out towards Sheringham golf course. Nobody was injured.
It comes as the fire service deals with a huge spike in field fires as the heatwave continues.
