Improvements to be made to two roundabouts on Norwich's newest link road
Improvements are to be made to two roundabouts on Norwich's newest link road.
The NDR - officially called Broadland Northway - opened just 11 weeks ago.
The council says while it has had a lot of positive feedback - there have been an unusually high number of incidents at the Wroxham Road and airport roundabouts. New signs will now be introduced.
Issues appear to be speed related at airport roundabout, where drivers run into the central island, and collisions seem to be arising when people are changing lanes at the Wroxham Road roundabout.
Early indications are that overall the route is working well. However accident data suggests that speeds on the Broadland Northway on the approach to some roundabouts could be an issue so Norfolk County Council will be working with the police to step up monitoring in the area to make sure people are driving safely.
