Govia Thameslink boss resigns over disruption

The chief executive of Govia Thameslink Railway Charles Horton has resigned.

It comes after weeks of disruption since the introduction of a new timetable.

Mr Horton had been with the country's biggest rail franchise for 15 years.

In a letter to staff he said the company had been going through some "very challenging" times in recent weeks.
