Police have released CCTV of a man they want to speak to in connection with an incident where four historic paintings were slashed at a town hall in Suffolk.

The pictures at Eye Town Hall were damaged at some point over the Easter weekend and a fire extinguisher was also let off.

A man was caught on camera climbing the scaffolding outside the building and it's thought he then broke into an upstairs room.

Officers are now keen to talk to a man who was seen on CCTV outside the front steps of the town hall on Sunday 1 April at 10:20pm.

He was wearing baggy trousers and a coat with a florescent logo.

Police believe he may be able to assist with their investigation, and have asked anyone who recognises him, to contact them.
