Luke Berry: Players sent to changing rooms after Luton Town player suffers horror injury
Luton Town midfielder Luke Berry dislocated his left ankle during Good Friday's 2-1 defeat at Colchester United.
The 25-year-old suffered the horrific injury just two minutes into the League Two game.
Both sets of players were sent to the changing rooms, before he was stretchered off the pitch.
Berry has been taken to Ipswich hospital, where he is being assessed for a potential fracture and ankle ligament damage.
The game was stopped for 12 minutes, while Berry received treatment on the pitch.
His team-mates were shocked at the nature of the injury - with one of the players physically sick.
Hatters manager Nathan Jones said: "It's a bad injury and one that will keep him out for a while.
"We don't know the full extent but it's a sad day really because he's been in great form, he's a great kid and he's a wonderful player for us and our best wishes go out to him, but we will make sure we will look after him and get him back as quick and as safe as we can.
"They [the players] came in and they were shocked and I had to try and lift them. They were down and they were shocked and one of our players were sick. It doesn't bode well."
Berry has thanked everyone for the messages of support.
