Southend United manager Chris Powell urges men to get checked for prostate cancer
Southend United manager Chris Powell has urged men to get checked for prostate cancer.
He's running the London Marathon next month in order to raise money for cancer research.
One in eight men get diagnosed with prostate cancer with that being one in four for black men.
However early diagnosis can mean lives are saved. Powell is running the race in a team of four to represent that one in four black men will be diagnosed with the illness in their lifetime.
