This Evening and Tonight:Frequent snow showers, heavy at times, the most persistent and heavy snow likely in the south, along with drifting snow in places. Risk of coastal gales. Minimum temperature -4 deg C (25 deg F).

Sunday:Rather cloudy although some brightness, but becoming mostly dry with just isolated light snow showers. Remaining windy with a significant wind-chill, as temperatures struggle to exceed freezing for many areas. Maximum temperature 1 deg C (34 deg F).

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:Monday and Tuesday, bright, scattered wintry showers. Sharp overnight frost but daytime temperatures slowly recovering, with a daytime thaw. Becoming less windy. Wednesday, mostly dry and bright, but less cold.
