Fire in Halstead wine bar looks to be accidental
Fire crews battling to put out a fire at a wine bar in Halstead, Essex say they have managed to stop it from spreading to buildings next door.
Essex Fire & Rescue Service says the fire started on the first floor of the wine bar and spread quickly into the roof because of the age and wooden structure of the property.
The wine bar has suffered water damage to the ground floor and the first floor has been badly damaged by the fire and the roof destroyed.
The fire appears to have started in the kitchen and is being treated as accidental say the fire service.
The fire was put out at 3pm (Friday 23rd Feb). There have been no injuries.
