Seventy firefighters and fifteen appliances have been tackling a large blaze at Breckland Lodge in Norfolk.

The fire at the hotel and restaurant complex started just before 9.30am this morning (Tuesday 6th Feb).

The owner was too upset to talk on camera but told ITV News Anglia that "it's tragic" and that "they will rebuild", but "the most important thing is that everyone's safe."

Norfolk police say the fire may have started outside the building and they are investigating.

Fire crews say the fire has now been surrounded, but they will be at the scene for some time dampening down.

The Incident Commander told ITV News Anglia that evacuation procedures were carried out well and nobody was injured.
