Teenager charged with attempted murder following Houghton Regis stabbing

A teenager has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in Bedfordshire.

A 17-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after he was stabbed in Parkside Drive, Houghton Regis, on Tuesday morning (January 30).

A 16-year-old boy was subsequently arrested and appeared at Luton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday. He's been remanded into youth custody to return to court at a later date.

Police have stepped up patrols in the area following the incident.
