Alfie Hewett has been named the new number 1 in the Mens Wheelchair Singles rankings.

Hewett who is from Cantley in Norfolk had a hugely successful 2017 which saw him win the French Open and reach the final of the US Open.

The news comes shortly after Hewett was beaten in the first round of the Australian Open, however he did reach the final of the doubles alongside partner Gordon Reid.
