Police hunting for sex offender on the run from Peterborough prison

Police are on the hunt for a sex offender who escaped from Peterborough prison.

51-year-old Gintautas Urbonas is serving a 12 year sentence for offences including attempted rape, battery and sexual assault.

Members of the public are urged not to approach him.

Police say if anyone is harbouring him they put themselves at risk of prosecution.

Anyone with information is asked to call police immediately.
