Yanic on the streets of Cardiff: Norwich City winger Wildschut joins Championship rivals on loan
Norwich City winger Yanic Wildschut has joined Championship rivals Cardiff City on loan until the end of the season.
The Dutchman moved to Carrow Road from Wigan Athletic last January, but has failed to hold down a regular starting spot.
The 26-year-old has made seven starts for the Canaries this season, with his only goal coming in a 1-0 victory at Sheffield United in September.
Wildschut joins a Cardiff team that are currently third in The Championship, but have lost their last four league games.
Meanwhile, Northampton Town striker Billy Waters has moved to Cambridge United on loan for the rest of the campaign and the U's have also re-signed forward Barry Corr on a three week non-contract basis.
The 32 year-old, who was released in June, could earn a longer deal if he's able to prove his fitness.
“Barry has been patient in building his fitness over the last few months. The professionalism, efficiency and dedication of the work completed with Barry by Matt Walker (Head of Performance) and Mikey Burroughs (Head of Medical) has been outstanding in getting Barry to this stage," Cambridge United Head of Football Operations Ben Strang said.
"Both the club and Barry are taking this one step at a time given the obvious challenges he has faced in the last 18 months. Both parties will review the position at the end of January. In the meantime we look forward look forward to Barry joining and contributing to the squad."
