Landlord's anger after roadworks and floods leave his pub marooned
A pub landlord from Norfolk is furious that roadworks have closed two routes into his village at the same time as a third is cut off by floods.
The Welney Wash floods most winters - something Dennis Birch says he is used to.
But he says the added roadworks mean people would have to make a sixty mile round trip to get to him - and not surprisingly there's been a big drop in trade.
Norfolk County Council says it's not currently carrying out any roadworks in the area, although a utility company is, and work the council has planned for later this month will still allow access to local homes and businesses.
They added roadworks are always scheduled to avoid the summer peak visitor season.
