Anglia Weather: Storm Eleanor brings damaging winds with gusts in excess of 50-60 mph

Mostly dry this evening. However rain will soon spread east, turning heavy and persistent at times. Winds will also strengthen with gales expected. Rain then clears shortly after midnight, with clear spells but also blustery showers following.

Minimum temperature 4 °C.

As storm Eleanor arrives tonight the Met Office have issued a Yellow weather warning for strong winds across the region valid between 18:00 Tuesday 2nd and 18:00 Wednesday 3rd January.

Wednesday

Windy, with sunny intervals and blustery showers. These showers will be most frequent in the west, and occasionally heavy, before easing into the evening. Winds will also gradually ease

Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Outlook

Rain spreading northeast Thursday morning, clearing to sunshine and isolated showers.Largely dry Friday, but breezy with rain overnight. Turning colder Saturday, with sunny spells, brisk northeasterly winds, and wintry showers.
