Outraged commuters face two years of slow trains
The decision to scrap fast trains to Bedford to Luton for two years has been described as "outrageous".
From May, East Midland trains won’t stop at the two stations during peak times. This is because a new timetable is being introduced during the Midland mainline upgrade.
Some services into London will be slower, making daily commutes longer.
For those who commute from the north to Bedford during peak times there will be replacement buses at Wellingborough.
However, commuters say they will fight the changes.
East Midlands trains said changes to the services are needed in order to complete major projects.
The new timetable will be out in February. The changes due to last until the completion of the upgrade in 2020.
