An inspection of a supposedly haunted canal tunnel in Northamptonshire is being carried out on Halloween.

Legend has it the tunnel in Crick is haunted by a screaming 'bogart' who will either drive you mad or cook you breakfast.

The Canal & River Trust carry out an inspection of the tunnel every five to 10 years to check the condition of the 200-year-old brick work.

Sarah Rudy, from the Trust, said: "There are over two million bricks in the tunnel and we have to make sure each of them is still in a good condition, haven't moved or cracked and that the tunnel is in a good state of repair."
