The chilling moment woman tried to cover up killing her own sister

A 27-year-old woman from Luton has been told she will spend life in prison serving a minimum of 22 years after she stabbed her sister 68 times to death in the home they shared.

34-year-old carer Saima Khan was killed in a frenzied knife attack in the hallway of the house in Overstone Road last May.

Her husband had been having an affair with her younger sister Sabah who used a knife purchased at a Tesco supermarket to carry out the murder.

She pleaded guilty to the killing at the Old Bailey in London earlier this week after initially claiming Saima had died during a burglary while other family members were attending a funeral.

However a police investigation found WhatsApp messages exchanged with Saima’s husband over a long period in which Sabah referred to her sister as “that b****” and internet searches carried out by Sabah on how to kill someone without getting caught.

There was also evidence that Sabah had paid £5000 to a ‘fixer’ in Pakistan to arrange her sister’s death and had become increasingly frustrated when she remained alive.

The court heard the murder was clearly pre-meditated and took place while Saima’s four young children were at home.

The court heard one had shouted down asking, “Aunty are you killing a mouse?”, before being told not to come out of her room.
