A 10-year-old girl from Colchester met Prince Harry last night as she received a national award.
Katie Ward, who has a rare bone condition, was nominated for the WellChild award after she set up her own video blog.
Katie's mother Ruth told ITV News Anglia that her daughter has to deal with a lot of pain.
She entered Katie because the awards are for inspirational children and says that despite her condition, Katie has learnt to swim.
Katie was born with a condition causing a short stature and was later paralysed below the rib-cage following spinal surgery. She has a number of serious health issues and is tube fed.
The WellChild Awards celebrate Britain's bravest children who live with health challenges. The winners met the charity's patron Prince Harry at a special ceremony.
