Kicking the habit - how smokers in the East are giving up
Becky Jago went out and about in Norwich to hear your stories of giving up smoking.
After years of campaigning - it seems like the message is finally getting through - people are trying hard to stop smoking. Over 400,000 prescriptions in the East of England and the Midlands were handed out to people wanting to stop smoking last year, the second most in England.
Stoptober encourages smokers to put away their cigarettes for the month of October, with the aim of longer term success. This year, for the first time, the campaign is highlighting the use of e-cigarettes as an aid to giving up.
