For 23 years thousands of unusual buildings around the country let in visitors for the four day 'Heritage Open Day' weekend

Many of the sites taking part in Heritage Open Days are normally closed to the public so the four day festival, running from 7th - 10th September, is a chance to see some rare and interesting sites. For the first time there will also be guided walks in Wivenhoe telling the story of former LGBT residents.
