Armed police and sniffer dogs circle 26th Clacton Airshow
Video report by ITV News Anglia's Serena Sandhu
Extra patrols have been put on for the 26th airshow in Clacton which is expected to attract a quarter of a million people over two days.
More than 70 concrete blocks were placed around the site blocking many exits and entrances.
Armed police officers, sniffer dogs and officers from the police marine unit are doing patrols.
The police say there is no specific threat to Clacton following the terrorist attacks recently at tourist hotspots across Europe. I
It's certainly not stopped the crowds flocking here all eager to see their favourites.
