Frankie Dettori launches appeal for new cardiac unit at West Suffolk Hospital

Jockey Frankie Dettori has launched an appeal to raise half a million pounds for a new cardiac unit at the West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds.

It will be part of a bigger £5m investment in the treatment of heart conditions.

The Every Heart Matters appeal needs to raise £500,000 to support the build of a new cardiac diagnostic unit alongside the cardiac suite, to create a fully integrated cardiac centre that will enhance the treatment of all cardiac patients.

The Trust is hoping to transform and improve the care cardiology patients will receive.
