Man arrested at Luton Airport after apparently trying to open door during a flight

A man has been arrested at Luton Airport after he allegedly tried to open an emergency door during a flight.

Police were called to the airport just before 11pm on Saturday night following reports of a disruptive passenger on a plane from Katowice in southern Poland.

The man was restrained by cabin crew on the Wizz Air W61005 flight and was later treated in hospital.

He was taken into custody for questioning on suspicion of endangering an aircraft.
