Supermarket giant Tesco has announced it's going to axe 1,200 jobs at its head office in Hertfordshire as part of a major cost-cutting drive.
25% of employees at offices in Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield will lose their jobs.
Staff at the superstore were informed of the cuts this morning.
Last week Tesco said 1,100 jobs would be axed after confirming plans to shut its call centre in Cardiff.
Tesco says it is in the midst of a turnaround plan under chief executive Dave Lewis.
