The N-Dubz rapper 'Dappy' has been given a suspended prison sentence for 'having a bladed article in a public place' during a row with his partner in Hertfordshire.
The ex-Celebrity Big Brother contestant, whose real name is Costadinos Contostavlos, was arrested after police attended an altercation in a residential street in Hatfield last month.
He previously admitted brandishing a butcher's knife during a row with his partner Imani Campbell outside their home in Hatfield on 10 May.
Armed police were called to the rented property the couple share with their 18-months-old daughter in Roe Green Close.
They forced open the door before arresting Contostavlos.
Hertfordshire Police said nobody was seriously hurt in the incident.
During sentencing Imani Campbell told Judge Nigel Lithman QC: "He takes care of me, he takes care of my daughter, he takes care of us. I couldn't ask for a better father for my daughter." He said: "On balance I am not going to send you to prison today."
Contostavlos was given a nine month suspended sentence for two years and ordered to attend a Building Better Relationships course.
