Norfolk needs to make a further £100m of council cuts
Norfolk County County needs to save an extra £100 million of top of £25 million of cuts already announced.
The cuts will need to be made over the next three years.
The council says it has already has had to save £334 million from 2011-2017, including £47.8 million this year.
Since 2011 the Government grant to Norfolk has reduced by £189 million and the council's costs have risen by £319 million.
Norfolk County Council says it is developing a "four-year vision" of how to support Norfolk’s communities and economy while saving £124.9 million.
It says putting more services into communities, using smarter technology and boosting the economy are among the ideas under consideration
Cllr Steve Morphew, Labour leader at Norfolk County Council said: "It's extraordinary that the threat now comes out just a few weeks after the county council elections when their headlines were about caring for the community."
The council is to ask its various departments to save £125 million between 2018 and 2021.
Adult social care: £31.0 million
Children’s services (non-schools): £23.5 million
Community and environmental services: £31.2 million
Managing director’s department: £1.3 million
Finance and commercial services: £3.6 million
Finance general (which includes pension and grant payments): £9.4 million
