Christophe Berra: Long-serving Ipswich Town defender to leave
Ipswich Town have confirmed that defender Christophe Berra will leave the club in the summer.
The 32-year-old has made 185 appearances for Town, but now wants to return to Scotland where he has a young family.
Ipswich did have a one-year option to extend his contract, but both Berra and the club agreed that the time is right for him to move on.
Following news of his departure, Berra thanked the Ipswich fans for the support they've shown him over the years.
“I really enjoyed my four years at Ipswich and I've only got good things to say about the club," he said.
I wish everyone there all the success in the future.”
