Garry Monk: Leeds United boss not distracted by Norwich City speculation
Leeds United manager Garry Monk has distanced himself from speculation linking him with the vacant Norwich City job and insists his focus is solely on getting his current club into The Championship play-offs.
The Whites boss has yet to agree a new contract at Elland Road and has been heavily linked with making a summer switch to Norfolk.
However, ahead of the meeting between the two sides this weekend, Monk was reluctant to to talk about his future.
Interim manager Alan Irvine will remain in charge of Norwich until the end of the current campaign, at which point new Sporting Director Stuart Webber will step up his search for a successor to Alex Neil who was sacked in March.
Norwich have nothing to play for at Elland Road on Saturday, but Leeds will be hoping to end a run of three games without a win which has seen them drop out of the top six.
"Norwich are a really experienced and talented squad," Monk said.
"You can see, at this moment in time, they're playing with freedom which comes at this stage of the season where they're not playing for anything.
"They're always going to be a dangerous side but it's about us. It's about what we do and we want to finish at Elland Road this season on a real high."
