A sheep farmer from Suffolk is pleading with dog owners to keep their animals under control after several attacks on her flocks.

Katie Mitcham-Henry says she has lost dozens of pregnant ewes and lambs after vicious dog attacks.

She currently has 500 breeding ewe but says attacks during the last 8 years has cost her in the region of £70,000.

Katie has now started using alpacas as guards for her sheep to help protect the flock and discourage dogs. Credit: ITV Anglia.

She says it is not just the monetary cost, but the emotional cost too.

The NFU say whilst many farmers do not claim for their losses, it is of great concern to their members.
