Emergency services remain at the scene after a lorry veered off a bridge and onto the southbound carriageway of the A12 in Essex.

The lorry crashed near Witham at junction 22. It is believed to have been carrying large batteries

The driver, a man in his 30s, died at the scene.

Drivers are being advised that the A12 southbound between Marks Tey (junction 25) and Witham South (junction 20B) will be closed until at least lunchtime today.
