Josh Murphy targets the Premier League after signing new Norwich City deal
Highly-rated Norwich City winger Josh Murphy has signed a new long-term contract with the club.
The 21-year-old, who came through the Canaries' academy, has agreed a four-and-a-half-year extension to his current deal.
Murphy's form had reportedly attracted interest from other clubs, but he will now stay at Carrow Road until 2021.
Murphy and his twin brother Jacob are widely regarded as two of the most promising young players outside the Premier League, and Norwich manager Alex Neil says he's happy to have sorted their futures.
"It's great news for the future of the club. In the games he's played this season, Josh has shown the qualities that he does have," Neil told the club's official website.
"He's got blistering pace, he's got real athleticism and he's a goal threat in pretty much every minute of the game. Those types of players are rare and hopefully he can become a first-team regular.
"We're delighted that he's committed his long-term future to Norwich City and it shows that we're retaining our better players, which is a great sign for the club."
