'William adores his little brother': Letters by Princess Diana to former steward give insight into Royal Family
Video report by ITV News Anglia's Matthew Hudson
Letters written by Princess Diana to a former steward at Buckingham Palace are being sold at auction in Cambridge.
Diana affectionately refers to late Cyril Dickman, who was the Head Stewart at Buckingham Palace, as Dear - and sometimes Dearest - Cyril in her letters.
They give insights into the life of the royal family at around the time Prince William and Prince Harry were children - including William's delight at the birth of his younger brother in September 1984.
Diana reveals how an older Prince Harry was "constantly in trouble" at school in one letter.
As well as the joy of motherhood, she also also describes the "difficult period" in her life that was to follow.
The letters are part of 'The Dickman Collection', which are going under the hammer in the Connoisseur's Collection in Cambridge.
It is expected to fetch several thousand.
Also on auction are cufflinks, photographs and other gifts given to Mr Dickman by the Royal family over many years - as well as a letter sent to him by The Queen.
However, it is the letters from Diana that are attracting the most interest.
Perhaps the most poignant of the collection is a note written shortly after Diana's death by her sister Jane Fellowes.
Part of it reads "Diana loved all the fun she had with a friend such as you at the Palace."
