A former Arsenal goalkeeper is now running one of the biggest country estates in the East of England.

Alan Miller's 13 year football career included stints at Arsenal, Middlesborough and Blackburn.

He has now taken on a very different role as events manager at the Holkham Estate in Norfolk, where he oversees its functions.

Today Alan's team is a little smaller but no less successful.

A chance visit to Norfolk sealed his love for the county - and the job came along soon after.

His job is particularly important because Holkham Estate has changed significantly - albeit not in appearance.

30 years ago its main income was from farming, but today today it relies heavily on tourism, events and corporate functions.
