Could Norwich South MP Clive Lewis be the next Labour leader?

Norwich South MP Clive Lewis has been made joint favourite to be the next Labour leader

The Norwich South MP Clive Lewis has been made joint favourite with the bookies to be the next leader of the Labour Party.

It follows speculation that off the back of the Tories win in the Sleaford By-Election Prime Minister Theresa May may call an early General Election next year.

Labour did poorly in the by-election and Jeremy Corbyn is now clear favourite at 2/1 to be the first of the current 'big five' Party leaders to stand down.

Clive Lewis, John McDonnell and Keir Starmer are now the 8/1 co-favourites to succeed Mr Corbyn as Labour leader.

But the bookmakers also say they believe he'll be in charge for some time yet, offering 6/4 that he stands down in 2020; 6/4 in 2021 or later; 6/1 in 2017.
